We had recent water in our basement and purchased several units to create storage a foot off the cement...A good solid shelf, but nowhere near the quality of our Gorilla shelves we bought 10 years ago at Sams Club. Still, it is a very good shelving unit, versatile and easy to move when relocating. Much better than chrome/wire open shelving, stuff doesn't fall thru and you don't have annoying rims around the edge. Easy enough to adjust shelf positions, stable with heavy loading.

These are _the_ Gorilla racks. They're almost so sturdy you can monkey* around on them (*almost, please don't).
The ability to make them half high is extremely useful, especially in tight places like attics where the ceiling may be sloped.
Great for storing heavy items, such as storage boxes, in storage areas where the aesthetics of the shelving doesn't matter. In most households, these look best in the garage, utility room, or attic. ;)

The shelf unit is of excellent quality! It is easy to assemble and holds together well. My only complaint is that the rubber "guards" they give you for protecting the sharp top edges are easily torn (and one of mine came already damaged) - thus I subtracted one star.
